Save the date! On Sunday, May 4th, noon-3pm, we are inviting everyone who is not yet an official member of Good Sheperd to come to an interest/orientation meeting for New Covenant Partners. During this time, we'll enjoy good food and conversations together, explore what it means to be a covenant partner, learn about Good Shepherd's core beliefs and priorities, and answer any questions you might have about the Christian faith and/or the Presbyterian Church (ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians). Learn to endure difficult times of suffering, pain and loss at 4:45pm on Wednesday, April 9th, in the Choir Room. Pastor Doug Scholten will share how the experiences of Job and the Apostle Paul show the stages we typically go through in difficult times and point the way to the development of endurance. We will learn how to receive God's all sufficient grace so that we may be "more than conquerors through Him who loves us." Bring a friend and stay for dinner. 

Plan to join us on Sunday, April 13th as we attend the Living Art Experience at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, inspired by the Life of Christ, a unique presentation through "living" productions of famous works of art. This theatrical masterpiece includes life-sized paintings and sculptures, live models within the art. The program will be narrated with an original script and presented with an inspirational musical score by an orchestra and vocal ensemble. We will leave the church at 12:30pm, program starts at 2pm and return around 5:30pm via coach. Cost: $75. Sign up at the Senior Ministry table on the Plaza. 

Literary Women meet on Saturday, April 12th at 9:30am in the Fireside Room. Discussion will be on "What You Are Looking For Is in the Library" by Michiko Aoyama. Come early for coffee and snacks. New members always welcome!

Sign up with Carol Jaeger (carol@gspc.org) to be a table hostess at our upcoming Spring Luncheon on Saturday, May 3rd. Our theme is "Walking with God" based on Micah 6.8. Speaker will be Rev. Adele Langworthy.

Quilters meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month at 10am in the Round Room #4. Their next meeting is on April 14th.

Gospel Sing-Along will not meet on Friday, April 18th due to our Good Friday service.

Good Shepherd is blessed to have an awesome Hospitality Ministry. We have five weekly teams, each headed by a Plaza Host, who sets up the coffee and donut stations, prepares several cubes of hot coffee, hot water for tea, and cold water. The two coffee servers and two donut servers assist us each morning with a smile. Volunteers are needed to roll the coffee carts back to the kitchen after second service, and volunteer (s) to wash the table cloths each week. Contact Susan Appleby at 562/449.6798.

Our next Cancer Support Group at Good Shepherd will be online on Tuesday, April 8th at 7pm, via Zoom. All cancer patients and their caregivers, past and present, are encouraged to join our group for support and prayer. A link for the zoom meeting will be sent a few days prior. On Saturday, April 19th at 9am volunteers are needed to help decorate our Sanctuary with Easter lilies. Plan to join us!
