This Fall at Good Shepherd

During a 1993 radio interview, the host complimented author William Gibson for the accuracy of past predictions. While downplaying his ability to predict the future, he stated, "The future is already here - it’s just not very evenly distributed."

As we turn our calendars from August to September, it seems "the future is already here" at Good Shepherd as well!

A couple weeks ago, we thought together about all the great ministries we participated in this summer, and the new staff we've recently welcomed.

After a busy summer, we "the future is already here" and we kick off the fall this Wednesday, September 9th at 6:30pm with an all ages, intergenerational ice cream social and bingo night, including a report from our Vision Team. This Tuesday at the Open Table, Judy DiPiazza asked me, "So, Curtis, is this ice cream and bingo night thing for everybody or just for young families?" 

My response was so quick and loud, it may have scared her: "EVERYBODY!" It is my hope and prayer that this will indeed be an all ages, intergenerational kick off to our fall schedule.

You'll hear about some great changes in our Wednesday night programming, opportunities to dig deeper into God's Word through sermon-based small groups, and an engaging curriculum to equip and empower marriages.

Then, next Sunday, September 13th at 9 and 10:45am we will join together in one of two All Together Now! gatherings, as we kick off "Welcome Home," our fall series on the book of Ephesians.

Don't miss these two great kick-offs for our fall schedule! After all, "the future is here"! May it be evenly distributed!
