Don't Miss This!

Your Change Will Make a Change!

Bring your change to church next Sunday, July 29th to "make a change" for our worldwide missionaries!

Successful We Care Food Drive

Grateful thanks to Good Shepherd members who contributed food items for the We Care Food Drive in June! Their pantry received 2,030 pounds of canned food - so the shelves are looking good again! Thanks for your generosity in helping those in need!

Fall Variety Show

Do you sing a song, play an instrument, act in a skit or tell great jokes? If so, plan on sharing your creativity as a soloist or a group Sunday, September 16th at 2pm in the Sanctuary. There is no charge, though free will offerings will be accepted for our Deacon's Benevolence Fund. Contact Janet McWhorter at 562/795.6946 or with questions. We will have accompanists, if needed.

Your kids will enjoy dinner and a movie! Feel free to put the little ones in their pajamas. Childcare is $15 per couple regardless of number of children. Register on our website today!

Beach Day at Bolsa Chica

Come on down August 26th at noon, bring your boogie boards and kites and enjoy the beach. End the day with a potluck dinner around a bonfire with smores. Meeting spot and more details will be provided soon.

Save the Date for the Fall Camp-Out

Opportunities to Serve

Stephen Minister Training

A new class will begin in September to train you to serve as a Stephen Minister. Contact Paul at or Marie at for details. Stephen Ministry information is available in the pew racks in the Sanctuary or on the Deacon's Table before or after worship gatherings.

Share Your Home

Host a student from Northstar Language Center. It's a great way to connect you family with the world, open yourself to new friends, as well as help students learn English and experience American culture. There is a $400 hosting stipend. Now accepting applications for August 1st-15th. Contact Doug at with questions or if you're interested.

Save Your Recycling

We continue to collect aluminum cans and plastic bottles for the Quinonez family. No glass please. Drop off by the storage bins on Sunday mornings.
