Study Guide | The Letter to the Hebrews 13.17-25
Greetings,
We have come to the end of our study of the Book of Hebrews. Here is the study guide for Hebrews 13.17-25, our text for this Sunday.
I have to admit that this has been a challenging text - challenging because of its richness and the depth of thought and inspired teaching, encouragement, and exhortation we have found in it. I also have to admit that I feel like I am saying "farewell" to a long-time friend whose words and insights have been enlightening, forceful, and comforting.
But, as we conclude this study and turn our attention to the events of Palm Sunday and Holy Week, culminating with the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, we can view it as a new beginning.
On April 14th and 15th, immediately after Resurrection Sunday, we will begin our new weekend schedule:
- Saturday at 5pm in Zirbel Hall - Modern style
- Sunday at 8:45am in the Sanctuary - Contemporary style
- Sunday at 10:30am in the Sanctuary - Classic style
We will also begin the new Foundations of Faith classes for adults and the "Shift" class for junior high students.
Oh yes, some have asked what book of the Bible we will be focused on after Hebrews... I am glad to say we will base our teaching on the Book of Jonah where we will be challenged by the pictures of God's heart for people, God's call for us to go where we are sent, and God's gracious care - even for those we may care little about. This is definitely a "whale" of a story.
In the joy of Christ,
Pastor Jim
