Love Wins (Or Does It?)

Hi friends,

You may have already heard about a new book entitled Love Wins: A Book About Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived. It's causing quite a stir, with some followers of Jesus praising it and others condemning it. In fact, the book's author, Rob Bell - the founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan - has even been interviewed about it on MSNBC.

Now, I don't know about you, but for me, these are some profoundly difficult questions. But difficult though they may be, I'm convinced they deserve to be thought through. And after I, Pastor Jim and Pastor Paul read the book, we thought there might be a number of us who would benefit from thinking through them as well.

So this summer I'm leading a discussion (note: not a class, sermon or lecture) on the book, the details of which are included at the end of the video above. We'll meet Tuesday nights at 7pm, starting July 5th.

We'll take it one chapter per week. And anyone, yes anyone, is welcome to chime in with  thoughts, questions and concerns - as well as agreements or disagreements.
